This activity from curriculum support will provide you with an opportunity to examine some factors that affect performance for four athletes, a soccer player, tennis player, cricketer and triathlete. You will explore the physical and psychological bases of performance. You will be able to critically analyse the different approaches to training and skill development of each of the athletes and investigate the contributions of psychology and nutrition to performance. This site will also give you the opportunity to examine the planning considerations of varying sports. (Note: this link is relevant to old and new syllabus - be aware of changes)
